中東恐怖聖戰組織「伊斯蘭國」（IS）9日宣稱，已綁架50歲的中國大陸人樊京輝，以及48歲的挪威人葛林斯加德－奧夫斯塔為人質，並在兩人照片下方標上斗大「求售」字樣，要求以贖金換兩人自由，但金額不明。

IS旗下的線上英文雜誌《達比格》（Dabiq），在最新一期刊物最後幾頁，刊登「廣告」發布綁架兩人的消息，廣告除附上兩名人質穿著標記名牌的澄黃囚服的照片，列出兩人的姓名、國籍、出生日期、地址和職業。

IS在兩人照片下方寫道，「這囚犯被他的政府遺棄，政府未竭盡所能贖回他的自由，」「願意付錢贖回他的人，可聯絡以下電報號碼」，並稱這筆買賣是「限時供應」，但並未寫明要求的贖金和付款期限。

挪威總理索柏格女士9日證實，有挪威公民1月底遭綁票，目前被拘禁在敘利亞，「所有訊息都直指係IS所為」，綁匪「多次要求高額贖款，但挪威不會付錢」，不會屈服於恐怖子的壓力

據陸媒報導，樊京輝家住北京市石景山區，2001年曾作客央視主持人白岩松的廣播節目，表示自己大學畢業後曾在中學執教6年，隨後曾在廣告公司、中央電視台、《北京教育報》等工作，最終選擇做一名自由職業者，他要刻意追求一種「不安全感」。中國外交部發言人10日表示，「正核實情況，中方堅決反對任何針對無辜平民的暴力行徑。」
